UPDATE: JUNE 1
A pitch for a new sports complex will have to wait until early next month.
City officials posted a notice on Monday, June 1, saying that due to a scheduling conflict with the presenter, Synergy Sports Global Company CEO Jason Boudrie, a presentation for an indoor sports complex slated for Tuesday’s city council meeting has been rescheduled for the July 7 City Council Meeting.

Boudrie plans to present a recent feasibility study initiated by the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce for a multi-million-dollar indoor sports complex located in the southwest area of San Angelo, bordered by the West Houston Harte Expressway access road, Sunset Drive, and the intersection of the access road and Southwest Boulevard.

The complex would include up to 10 playing courts along with related facilities. It will be developed through a public-private partnership under a municipal lease agreement. The presentation will cover topics such as the economic impact, naming rights and sponsorship opportunities, and funding options, specifically focusing on a public-private partnership (P3) municipality lease.

The council also will consider $858,000 for downtown projects in the South TIRZ, including areas along Chadbourne Street, and Twohig, Beauregard, and Concho avenues.
Additionally, a North TIRZ project at 1313 N. Bryant Blvd. requires $100,000 in funding.
Meeting is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, at McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive.
