A proposed 11-mile highway project would redirect freight traffic around San Angelo and connect to the future Interstate 27 corridor. 

The proposed San Angelo North Relief Route would connect U.S. highways 87 and 67 north of the city. A relief route is designed to move through traffic, particularly freight traffic, around a community rather than through local streets and highways.

Documents released online regarding a possible 380 agreement between the City of San Angelo and a data center developer were merely examples provided to them by the developer, and that nothing has been agreed upon between any involved parties.
