Efforts to reshape San Angelo’s future will get under way this week as the San Angelo City Council, City of San Angelo Development Corporation, Planning Commission, and Parks and Recreation Advisory Board hold a joint meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, in the City Council chambers at the McNease Convention Center.
According to information from the city, the San Angelo Community Plan is a project all about getting the community together to share ideas for the city’s future.
Leaders hope the plan will bring together what people want when it comes to growth, transportation, parks, job opportunities, infrastructure, and overall quality of life to create a straightforward vision for what’s ahead.
City leaders say community input will play a central role in shaping recommendations and priorities throughout the planning process and work toward ensuring these important topics are planned together as part of a shared vision for San Angelo’s future.
The consultant overseeing the San Angelo Community Plan will give presentations at the meeting.
Organizers invite everyone to attend, and the meeting iwill be streamed live on the City’s YouTube channel and on SATV (Optimum Channel 17).
