Two local organizations are co-sponsoring a public meeting with San Angelo Police Chief Travis Griffith this week.
The Aglow Community Lighthouse and the Ministerial Alliance are inviting everyone to attend a community conversation with Chief Griffith at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at 1100 Martin Luther King Drive.
Griffith has been Police chief since June 2024, and has prioritized community collaboration, transparency, and safety, often addressing issues like fentanyl and violent crime. Before becoming chief, Griffith gained over 10 years of supervisory experience as a sergeant and detective.
The meeting will provide updates on public safety, current policing initiatives, address public concerns, and discuss ways to better support local police officers. Everyone is invited to attend.
