A proposed San Angelo-based data center continues to raise questions and controversy.

Members of the San Angelo City Council will conduct a special meeting Wednesday evening to hear about “Design Standards for Data Center Projects” presented by Planning & Development Director Aaron Vannoy.

Also up for discussion will be questions about the Skybox/Emergent Data Center submitted by citizens ahead of the meeting.

The discussion will be moderated by Emergent’s Chief Technology Officer and Chief Project Officer, along with Assistant City Manager Rick Weise, and San Angelo Mayor Tom Thompson.

Following the discussion, the council will hear public comments.

To make comments, persons must sign in with the City Clerk before the meeting begins. Speakers are called in the order they signed in. When speaking, citizens must address the dais, begin by stating their name and address or Single Member District number, and limit their remarks to three minutes or less.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the McNease Convention Center’s South Meeting Room, 501 Rio Concho Drive.
