Spring Speakers to Enlighten Fort Concho Guests

Fascinating stories of history will abound next month as Fort Concho National Historic Landmark hosts its spring Speakers Series each Wednesday in April.

The month will feature five lunchtime programs focused on American history which will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Fort Concho Commissary, 702 Burgess Ave.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along their lunch.

Schedule

  • April 1: “Martha Washington” by Deborah Moran, historical reenactor
  • April 8: “Paul Revere” by Keith Mahler, local historian]
  • April 15: “My Revolutionary War Heroes” by Joyce Gray, local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter former regent, and C.A. Maedgen, Sons of the American Revolution president
  • April 22: “250th United States Anniversary Jeopardy – How well do you know your history?” by Joyce Gray
  • April 29: “How Religion Moved Across America” by Rev. Christopher Roque
