A Sunday afternoon filled with talk of music and songwriting is planned at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts on Sunday, as the public is invited to meet songwriter Carol Elliott. The event is part of the part of the Legendary Songwriter Series, and includes an interview and a songwriting workshop.
The afternoon will begin with the interview from 1:30-3 p.m. in the SAMFA Grand Hall, as Executive Director Seth Hopkins visits with Elliott about her songwriting process and career, complemented by live musical performances that share the stories behind her songs.
Elliott will lead a songwriting workshop from 3:30-5 p.m.
All experience levels are welcome to bring their song ideas and participate in this interactive session.
Elliott will share stories from her early career with Nashville legends and her current role as a Music Ambassador for the Texas Commission on the Arts, where she promotes songwriting and music education statewide.
The Legendary Songwriter Series invites audiences to engage with accomplished songwriters, celebrating the art of songwriting through discussions, live performances, and creative participation.
