The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts invites the public to attend the May installment of its “Art for Lunch” and “Sips with Seth” series, hosted by Executive Director Seth Hopkins, on May 7.

This month’s program will feature Bill and Judy Campbell, stewards of the famous Painted Rocks Historical Site in Concho County, and Dr. Jeremy Elliott of Abilene Christian University.

The Painted Rocks site near Paint Rock is a significant rock art site listed on the National Register of Historic Places featuring ancient Native American pictographs that capture important cultural ceremonies and stories.

The speakers will discuss the site’s significance, preservation efforts, and ways to improve public accessibility.

Both sessions will present similar program content and are open to the public.

Art for Lunch is set for noon to 1 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring along their lunch.

Sips with Seth takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. and a cash donation bar will be available during the event, and the museum galleries will remain open afterward.
