The San Angelo Health Foundation continues on its mission to “enhance the quality of life for the people of the San Angelo area” through grants awarded quarterly, primarily through solicitations from area non-profits.
First quarter grants totaling $451,656 were awarded to seven organizations listed below:
- Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Department – $97,390
To complete renovations of Station No. 2, and purchase PPE equipment and supplies. - Keepers of Hope – $15,000
For program expenses. - San Angelo Area Foundation – $80,266
For the WWII Veteran’s Memorial: Heroes on the Concho. - San Angelo Early Childhood Center – $200,000
For program expenses. - Sight Savers America – $14,000
For their Low Vision & Blindness Program. - St. Paul Presbyterian Church – $15,000
For the Oasis Community Center. - Texas Ramp Project – $30,000
To build wheelchair ramps for residents across the Concho Valley
Since its founding in 1995, the San Angelo Health Foundation has awarded more than $72 million to 257 organizations for 1,013 worthy projects.
