A downtown Pizzeria and Tap House, which operates out of the historic former Central Firehouse, is closing its doors for the last time on Thursday. The business owners say the closing follows a change in ownership of the building at 200 South Magdalen.

The Pizzeria opened in 2020, and the Old Central Firehouse Bed & Brew, a bed-and-breakfast business, also run out of the same location, opened in 2019.

Reports indicate that the new owners will preserve the historic building and create a new event space on the lower level while continuing to operate the bed-and-breakfast on the upper floor.

The downtown pizzeria is closing, but many of its pizza recipes will be available at Lakehouse Pizzeria & Taproom, the sister location that opened in July 2025 at 7401 Knickerbocker Road.
