Action items before the San Angelo City Council next Tuesday include airport upgrades, submission of a recall petition, and a public hearing setting the property-tax rate.

City officials released the agenda on Thursday.

City Clerk Heather Stastny will submit the results of the petition to trigger a recall election for Single Member District 2 Councilman Joe Self, showing there were not enough valid signatures collected.

Airport Director Justin Fletcher will present information on awarding a contract to convert an airport runway into a taxiway, and for a study to locate a site and design for a new airport control tower.

Webb, Stokes & Sparks Personal Injury Law

The last item on their regular agenda will be a first reading and public hearing of an ordinance fixing and levying ad valorem taxes for the budget year. City officials have said that the current tax rate will remain the same for property owners.

The City Council meeting will be held on September 1, 2026, at 8:30 AM at the McNease Convention Center – South Meeting Room, 501 Rio Concho Drive
