Same old snake, same old venom just new skin!
In West Texas, we know rattlesnakes. The 68th Annual Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup was recently held in Sweetwater, Texas. The annual event featured hundreds of rattlesnakes and demonstrations on rattlesnake milking, a knife/gun show and, of course, The Miss Snake Charmer Pageant.
Read on but keep in mind the old saying about snakes and politicians – “snakes hide in the grass, but politicians hide behind their lies.”
Drumroll for Marjorie Taylor Greene! The former Congresswoman from Georgia’s 14th District has something urgent to say on her recent Facebook posting: “war with Iran is dangerous, American soldiers could get killed and – God bless the Iranian people!”
This is the same politico that once suggested California wildfires were caused by a Rothschild-controlled satellite, who called for the execution of Democratic politicians, who brought a bullhorn to harass a teenage Parkland survivor outside his home, but who has recently gazed deep into Trump’s foreign policy. She has emerged as a born-again truth teller to warn us about war with Iran!
West Texans know a thing or two about Iran’s impact on oil prices. When Tehran sneezes on Monday, oil futures hiccup and folks feel it in the paycheck by Friday. A real shooting war with Iran doesn’t just mean body bags containing the remains of American soldiers coming home — it means sky-high gas prices, shuttered pump jacks, and the kind of economic whiplash that turns roughnecks into food bank regulars. The stakes, in other words, are dire for Texans and Americans.
Like a broken clock, MTG is right twice a day. And here is what makes her warning so ironic: she is the one who handed the matches to the orange-faced arsonist in the White House. In fact, she encouraged it!
Marjorie Taylor Greene is not a prophet. She is not a peacenik. She is a weathervane in a MAGA hat, spinning in the Panhandle wind and calling it leadership. She is, to quote the old refrain, not unlike a snake that has recently shed its old skin – same old snake, same old venom, but in new skin! She is a “double-dealer.”
Go ahead Marjorie – warn us about the war! Show us your phony righteous indignation! Tell us where you were when Trump could have been stopped by Congressional opposition while you were in Congress cheering him and drawing a salary paid for by the blood and tears of American families whose sons/daughters were being sent to another needless war and returning home in coffins to be buried by grieving families.
God bless Texas — and God help the rest of us ‘cause we’re in a boatload of trouble! Vote them out!
