Hoping to connect San Angelo Independent School District families with valuable community resources while celebrating the district’s bilingual program, school officials invite families to attend the upcoming “Manos a la Obra” Emergent Bilingual Resource Night, a free, family-friendly event

Attendees can enjoy children’s book giveaways, snacks and refreshments, along with activities hosted by student groups,

Now in its sixth year, SAISD’s Emergent Bilingual Program utilizes students’ primary language, Spanish, as a foundation while they develop full proficiency in English, including skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing..

Families will learn about the bilingual program and connect with local organizations providing essential services for children and families in San Angelo. About 25 community partners are expected to participate.
