San Angelo’s 24-hour online giving event kicks off Tuesday, May 5.
San Angelo Gives, hosted by the San Angelo Area Foundation is the city’s largest day of charity, andvreinforces the value of local philanthropic giving and community engagement.
The annual event has proven to be a major success for local nonprofits and scholarships, allowing folks to find and support organizations whose mission aligns with their passion.
As a bonus, many nonprofits also benefit from amplification funds and prize dollars provided by community supporters and partners.
The San Angelo Area Foundation developed San Angelo Gives in 2015 to help community givers discover and support local organizations with ease, with the one-day event. Last year, San Angelo Gives raised over $4 million for more than 260 local and area nonprofits.
This year, the San Angelo Gives Day of Giving will take place on Tuesday, May 5. This event celebrates the remarkable contributions of organizations in San Angelo and the surrounding counties. According to officials from the San Angelo Area Foundation, over 260 local nonprofits are registered to participate.
San Angelo Gives will start at midnight on May 5, and all donations related to the event must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. that same day.
All donations must be made through sanangelogives.org. For additional information about San Angelo Gives, please visit their website.
Over the past decade, donors from across the region have come together to contribute more than $30 million in charitable donations, supporting local organizations that provide essential services.
Early giving for the San Angelo Gives is already underway. Donations are made through the website sanangelogives.org.
