City Sets Town Hall Meetings for Next Week

The City of San Angelo Planning & Development Services Department will be hosting two town hall meetings next week.

The town hall meeting focusing on sign ordinance amendments and offering clarification of existing definitions and regulations will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, March 31 at the Tom Green Co. Library, 33 W. Beauregard Ave.

The amendments define billboards, set standards for signs and standardize sign heights, as well as add protections for historical and cultural districts in San Angelo.

A town hall meeting focusing on expanding and reforming the current San Angelo Cultural District is slated for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love St.

The Cultural District aims to revitalize the area through preservation of cultural and historical assets and development of residential and small commercial projects.

Texas Exes to Host Coleman White

San Angelo’s Texas Exes will host guest speaker Coleman White during their next meeting at 11:30 a.m. April 2, at Miss Hattie’s Restaurant, 26 E. Concho Ave.

White

White is a graduate of University of Texas at Austin and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in technology commercialization from the McCombs School of Business.

He was recognized in the Daily Texan for his new startup company, Verified Carbon, which he will discuss.

White is the grandson of Lee Pfluger.

Chamber to Host Mayoral Forum April 14

The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce will host a forum for mayoral candidates at 6 p.m. Monday, April 14, at the Fort Concho Stables.

The nonpartisan event is open to the public and all are invited to attend.
