The Peace Ambassadors of West Texas will host a rally in recognition of the International Day of Peace from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21 at Civic League Park, near the International Waterlily Collection.

The group invites everyone in the Concho Valley who has peace in their heart to tote along a lawn chair and come out to hear — and share — words of wisdom and creativity during the event.

Artists, leaders, advocates, and passionate community members are encouraged to speak about what they do, and how it helps build peace in our community and beyond.

Founded in 2004, the Peace Ambassadors of West Texas was created to bring all of the Abrahamic faiths together as a force for good in the world.

Jeff Chandler Law

The group sponsors interfaith forums, and participates in cultural celebrations, service projects, and youth engagement, “moving forward guided by patience, humility, and the conviction that peace is worth striving for.”
