Seven Concho Valley non-profit organizations are benefiting from quarterly grants from the San Angelo Health Foundation. The grants, announced June 30, total more than $860,000.
Second-quarter grant recipients include:
- The Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas who will receive $400,000 to expand program services and purchase vehicles
- Concho Valley Turning Point was awarded $240,000 to purchase the Hill Street warehouse
- The East Concho Volunteer Fire Department will receive $137,500 for motor vehicle accident rescue tools and a water tanker truck
- First Methodist Church was awarded $30,000 for the Wesley Nurse Dental Aftercare Project
- Mommy and Me Advocacy of San Angelo is to receive $50,000 for installation of shade structures at three local parks
- The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club was awarded $9,884 to purchase maintenance equipment and to clear brush at their second location
- And Steady Steps will receive $33,527 to upgrade their daycare playground.
Since its founding in 1995, the San Angelo Health Foundation has invested nearly $73 million in 258 organizations, empowering them to carry out over 1,020 impactful projects in the Concho Valley.
