SUMMER FUN
Families are in for a wonderful experience at the upcoming Family Day at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. This year’s theme is “Curious Collectors!” Families will have the opportunity to explore various collections, treasures, and curiosities, and learn about the fascinating stories that objects can tell.
Spend the day engaging in some creativity and summer fun with hands-on art activities designed for all ages. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Concho Clay Studio throughout the event for free drop-in clay activities. No registration is required.
Family Day is on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Education Studio, located in the breezeway at 1 Love Street in downtown San Angelo.
In addition to art activities, guests can browse a free children’s book giveaway in SAMFA’s Grand Hall. The books are generously provided by the San Angelo Adult Literacy Council and anonymous donors.
This summer, families can also enjoy a visit from the Mad Mouse Zoodio! The Mad Mouse Zoodio is collaborating with SAMFA this summer to help provide the ultimate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) experience for young learners and artists.
Family Day is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. Activities are subject to change, and additional surprise activities may be offered throughout the day.
