A registered sex-offender facing charges in Harris County has been charged with murder after a stabbing resulted in the death of a San Angelo man.
San Angelo Police Chief Travis Griffith said on Tuesday, police found 36-year-old Justin James deceased in the unit block of North Bishop Street, with a stab wound on his body. Investigators identified 39-year-old Drew Green as the suspect, who entered the home, stabbed James while he was in bed, and then fled.
The two were known to each other, indicating this was not a random act of violence, officials said.
Green was arrested on Wednesday after attempting to flee from San Angelo police officers at a residence in the 100 block of West 20th Street. He is facing three charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, originating from Harris County.
Green was arraigned and charged with the murder of Justin James at an arraignment Thursday morning.
