Town Hall Meetings are Monday and Tuesday
Two Town Hall meetings hosted by the City of San Angelo will take place this week.
A town hall meeting focusing on sign ordinance amendments and offering clarification of existing definitions and regulations is set for 6 p.m. Monday, March 31, at the Tom Green Co. Library, 33 W. Beauregard Ave.
The amendments define billboards, set standards for signs and standardize sign heights, as well as add protections for historical and cultural districts in San Angelo.
A town hall meeting focusing on expanding and reforming the current San Angelo Cultural District is slated for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love St.
The Cultural District aims to revitalize the area through preservation of cultural and historical assets and development of residential and small commercial projects.

• Parks & Recreation Advisory Board – 3:30 p.m. Thursday, East reception room, City Hall, 72 W. College Ave.
Voter Registration Deadline is Thursday
April 3 is the deadline for registering to vote. Voter registration can be done in person at the Tom Green Co. Elections Office, 113 W. Beauregard Ave., or by mail. Registrations by mail must be postmarked by the April 3 deadline.
Early voting begins Tuesday, April 22.
92nd San Angelo Rodeo Begins Friday
Dust off your best hat and shine up those boots! The San Angelo Rodeo begins Friday with the opening PRCA event at 7 p.m. in the Coliseum.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, the annual San Angelo Rodeo Parade will begin making its way through downtown.

- Parade begins at Irving and Concho
- Proceed east to Oakes St.
- Turn left on Oakes to Twohig Ave.
- Turn left on Twohig and proceed to Chadbourne
- Turn right on Chadbourne and proceed to College Ave.
- Turn Left on College and proceed to Irving
- Turn left on Irving and proceed to Beauregard Ave.
- Turn right on Beauregard and proceed to Randolph St.
- Turn left on Randolph and proceed to River Drive, where the parade ends.
Saturday and Sunday PRCA performances
Two rodeo performances are slated for Saturday, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and a matinee performance will take place Sunday at 2 p.m.
CV Transit To Receive $62,500 in Funding
The Texas Transportation Commission recently awarded a total of $8,233,750 in Federal Transit Administration program funds and state funds to support a variety of public transportation needs in rural areas of the state.
According to a news release on March 28, Concho Valley Transit District will receive $50,000 in federal funding with a State of Texas matching grant of $12,500.
CVTD serves as a rural transit district for the 12-county Concho Valley, including Coke, Concho, Crockett, Irion, Kimble, McCulloch, Menard, Reagan, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, and Tom Green counties. The Concho Valley Council of Governments is the parent agency of CVTD.
