OBITUARY

Karon Annette Willis passed away on January 2, 2026, in San Angelo.

She was born in Seminole, TX to Durward Denver Willias and Ruby (Jackie) Joyce Willis on October 24, 1956.

Karon grew up in Plains, TX and graduated in 1975. Karon went to South Plains College in Levelland after graduation. Later in her life she completed her college degree and moved to Lubbock to work.

She retired from Covenant where she was a Records Health Information Technician and Certified Tumor Registrar. Later, Karon moved to San Angelo where she spent time with her mom putting puzzles together. Karon attended Southgate Church of Christ.

She was loved by her family and had a special love for her nieces, nephews and her great nieces and great nephews. She loved teaching art to them when they came for a visit.

Karon is survived by her mother Jackie Willis, her sister Dana Blackwood and her husband Clay Blackwood. Her sister Elaine Bryant. Her nephew Jeremy Blackwood and wife Rebekah Blackwood. Her nephew (Keenan Hancock who sadly passed in 2023) Her niece Tarren Huff and Michael Book, and niece Lindsey Blackwood. She was a great Aunt to Aaron and Evelyn Blackwood and Mattylin Chaput. Ashton Jaxson and Lexson Huff. She had many beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and many friends. She leaves behind her dogs that she loved Zena, BJ and Sassy so very much.
