Art lovers are invited to the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts’ July 3rd “Art & Independence” fundraiser, celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary and honoring former SAMFA board presidents Sonny Cleere and Frank Rose.

Ahead of the spectacular fireworks display visible from the museum’s rooftop terrace overlooking the Concho River, guests will enjoy an indoor barbecue, ice cream party, and the “Steak of the Arts” cookoff, where local grilling teams vie for the champion title and bragging rights.

  • Interested community members can register a team in advance.
  • The event will take place from 7-10 p.m. at 1 Love St.
  • Seating is limited, and advance reservations are encouraged.
