Volunteers and Interns Make The Stock Show Happen
The San Angelo Stock Show would not be possible without legions of Stock Show volunteers, interns and committee members. There are several part-time interns the Stock Show wanted to recognize who have played a key role in making this show a success.
- Vannessa Dominguez: Vanessa attends Angelo State University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science and Leadership in 2023 and is presently working on her Master’s degree in Agriculture.
- Ofilia Gonzalez: Ofilia Gonzalez attends Angelo State University where she is working on her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA showing goats and lambs for ten years. She says her favorite thing about being an intern is, “getting to help others and be a part of the ring but on the other side instead of being in it.”
- Alivia Mayfield: Alivia attends Angelo State University majoring in Animal Science. Alivia and the Stock Show go way back. She has participated in the Stock Show since the third grade. “I am excited to give back to the kids and the show here at San Angelo Stock Show.” Alivia said.
- Baylee Plumley: Baylee attends Angelo State University where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Administration. “I am eager to contribute to the success of this exciting event and give back to a show that is extra special.” She said.
San Angelo Stock Show Syndicate Fundraiser
On Friday, February 8, 2025, the San Angelo Stock Show Syndicate held an unforgettable fundraiser dinner, raising money to support the youth livestock exhibitors in the sale. The Showman’s Shindig featured performances by Shenandoah and Kat Hasty, creating a fantastic atmosphere and a memorable evening for all in attendance.
The Syndicate’s mission is to secure every exhibitor’s lot in the sale. Donations to this organization fuel the dreams of young exhibitors, helping them become the leaders and champions of tomorrow. In 2024, the Syndicate invested $195,000 in youth development through the premium sale.
