The San Angelo Independent School District Board of Trustees will preview the new elementary attendance boundary proposal map this evening.
According to the posted agenda,
In response to elementary school closures and consolidations, the need to consider rezoning the 12 elementary schools for the Fall of 2027 is necessary. A committee of nearly 70 community members was formed to hear demographic reports and review options for elementary boundaries that, if adopted, would be enacted for the Fall of 2027. The committee met six times this Spring to discuss and give input into the development of a proposed new elementary school boundary map for San Angelo ISD, effective Fall 2027.
No action will be taken on the proposed map. The superintendent will present a review of the process along with the recommended new elementary boundary map.
You can review the current elementary attendance map here.
As the meetings of the advisory committee were not held in public, this will also be the first information provided by the district to the public about the new map.
