Dora Garcia, 87, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at her home in Vick.

Public viewing will from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a prayer service being at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 26, 2025, at Eola Baptist Church with Pastor Javier Santos, Pastor Juan Alman, and Pastor Toby Irwin, officiating. Burial will follow at Eola Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Garcia was born January 29, 1938 in Eola to Rufus and Asuncion Ruiz. Dora has been a Vick area resident for over 50 years. Dora married Jose “Joe” Garcia, Sr. in 1957. He preceded her in death of November 26, 2015. Dora loved preaching and ministering through her church, where she used her gifts singing, playing guitar, keyboard, and accordion. Dora was an artist, loving to paint and draw. She was an accomplished seamstress. She always enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

Survivors includes her daughter, Daminna Garcia; five sons, Hector Garcia, Mario A. Garcia, Robert Lee Garcia, Joe Angel Garcia, Jr., and Vincent E. Garcia; 11 grandchildren, Joaquin, Viselda, Joe Hector, Jr., Mario, Jr., Little Rosie, Monica, Ricky, Veronica, Erika, Jessica, and Vinny; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces nephews and cousins. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 8 sisters.
