Democratic candidates for state and national office are making their way around West Texas this week, with several opportunities for locals to interact slated over the next two days.
The “West Texas Waltz” sees candidate Clarie Reynolds running against August Pfluger to represent TX-11, Shiloh Salazar, running against Drew Darby to represent Texas House District 72 and Holly Taylor, who is running for a seat on the Court of Criminal Appeals making their way around a 10-county area.
Beginning with appearances in Big Spring, Coleman and Ballinger on Monday and Tuesday, events are planned for Mertzon, Big Lake and San Angelo on Thursday, followed by Robert Lee, Sterling City and Garden City events on Friday.
According to a bulletin from the campaigns, the schedule for the rest of the week is as follows:
THURSDAY
Claire Reynolds will be at Giddy Up and Grind Co. at 1702 S. Bridge St. in Brady from 7:30 to 9:30 am. From there:
- MERTZON – 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Rico’s Cafe, 119 N Broadway
- BIG LAKE – 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Reagan County Courthouse, 300 N. Plaza Ave.
- SAN ANGELO – 6-8 p.m. at 2Eleven, 211 N. Chadbourne St.
FRIDAY
- ROBERT LEE – 9-9:30 a.m. at the Coke County Courthouse, 13 E. Seventh St.
- STERLING CITY – 10-10:30 a.m. at the Sterling County Courthouse, 609 Fourth St.
- GARDEN CITY – 11-11:30 a.m. at the Glasscock County Courthouse, 117 E Currie St.
