Another opportunity for local residents to talk about a proposed data center will take place Tuesday evening at the San Angelo City Council meeting.
The Council’s discussion will focus on proposed design guidelines for the much-debated business, as City Planning and Development Director Aaron Vannoy, Chief Project Officer Rick Weise, and Westwood Consultant Aric Head give a presentation.
According to information from the city, council will review guidelines on building location, orientation, and setbacks; travel routes for pedestrians and vehicles; fencing; screening for truck and trash areas; landscape and grading plans; noise restrictions; building materials; and signage and lighting locations.
The public will be able to comment, but those who wish to speak must sign up ahead of the meeting.
City staff emphasized the item is listed for discussion only, and no action will be taken.
In addition to the meeting being open to the public, it will also be streamed live to the City’s YouTube channel, SATV (Optimum channel 17), FireTV and Roku.
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the McNease Convention Center, 500 Rio Concho Drive.
