San Angelo City Council members will consider authorizing more than $4 million for a project to replace aging sewer infrastructure to prevent future failures during their meeting on Tuesday.
The consent agenda item is a bid for the North Concho Wastewater Improvements project, which will replace about 4,500 feet of old sewer trunk line. The city received six qualified bids, with Blackrock Construction submitting the lowest bid.
The need for more affordable housing in San Angelo will also be a topic on the Council’s meeting agenda.
During the regular agenda, the Council will consider direction on modifications to the Zoning Ordinance that would allow additional Residential zoning districts impacting affordable housing, with a presentation on the topic by Lead City Planner Rae Lineberry.
The Council will meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, at the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive.
The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed live to the City’s YouTube channel, SATV (Optimum channel 17), FireTV, and Roku. Public comment can be made in person at the meeting.
