The Sept. 30 article titled “Advocacy Center Reacts to Changes in Funding” contained incorrect information about reasons for their loss of funding.
This error is my fault, and I take full responsibility for introducing a wrong assumption into this report. I regret the error.
According to a correction email from Open Arms Board President Rozena McCabe, officials “have not been given a reason why our funding was not renewed and attributing it to our LGBTQ+ services is speculation.”

The Concho Observer strives to ensure there are no errors of fact in the news we publish, but mistakes will happen.
It is our policy to publicly correct any errors that significantly impact the accuracy of a report.
