The July 28 article on Shannon Medical Center contained incorrect information about the total of Medicaid payments received by the hospital.
According to information from the Center for Medicaid Services, Shannon Medical Center submitted $286,985,625 in Medicaid charges for 2023, receiving $55,560,065 in total Medicaid payments, and there were 16,159 Medicaid patients in Tom Green County in FY 2024.
