WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA

For the 18th year, San Angelo’s Civil Air Patrol will participate in decorating the graves of veterans during a wreath-laying ceremony at Belvedere Memorial Park set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.

According to project coordinator Maj. Dana Gray, San Angelo joins more than 4,900 other locations across the country in the observance of Wreaths Across America Day.

Led by the Civil Air Patrol’s San Angelo Composite Squadron and Texas Leadership Cadet Squadron, members worked to raise funds throughout the year sponsoring the placement of 385 wreaths for our service members laid to rest there.

This annual event seeks to further the yearlong mission to “Remember, Honor, Teach,” ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony and then lay a wreath on the graves of veterans at Belvedere Memorial Park.

Belvedere Memorial Park is located at 3504 Arden Rd.
