According to a news release Saturday, City of San Angelo offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, due to icy conditions on roadways, overpasses, and bridges. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Essential services, including public safety and emergency response, will continue to operate without interruption. Officials will also reschedule the Planning Commission and Civil Services meetings scheduled for Monday.
Due to the ongoing winter weather, the San Angelo School District has announced that classes will also not be held on Monday.
Officials urge residents who must travel to drive slowly, allow extra stopping distance, and use caution on bridges and overpasses, which tend to freeze first.
