As subfreezing temperatures and ice are likely this weekend in the Concho Valley, the Salvation Army in San Angelo is at the ready with warm shelter and food.
According to an announcement, the shelter has 50 beds, and may use 30 more to accommodate those in need of a warm place to get out of the bitter cold.
A Salvation Army spokesperson said they want to make sure anyone experiencing homelessness will be taken care of in the subfreezing temperatures, reminding that the group always offers shelter and food for individuals and families who need it.
They also welcome those in need to use the warming station, as they open their doors daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. when the temperature drops below 36 degrees. Anyone is welcome to come and receive assistance.
The Salvation Army is located downtown at 122 W. Second St. and can be reached by calling 325-655-6981.
