OBITUARY

Kyle Henry, 72, of San Angelo, went to be with his heavenly father on December 30, 2025, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.

Kyle was born and raised in Brady, where he lived with his parents, Bob and Annabelle Henry, until the age of 10, when the family moved to San Angelo. He attended Bowie Elementary, Lee Junior High, and Central High School, where he proudly played golf for the Bobcats.

Over the last twelve years working at what he often called his favorite job, working for the City of San Angelo. He truly enjoyed working with and getting to know people from the various departments across the city, forming lasting friendships along the way.

Kyle had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. Each year, he especially looked forward to his annual hunting trip with lifelong friends, where stories were shared and memories from decades of friendship were joyfully relived.

His greatest joys were watching his children and grandchildren play sports of any kind. He loved traveling with his beautiful wife, Tamie, exploring new places, seeing new things, and most importantly, relaxing and unwinding together as best friends and loving husband and wife. When they weren’t traveling, Kyle could often be found firing up the grill or smoker, always ready to barbecue something—whether it was smoked queso dip, burgers, steak, or even vegetables.

Kyle is survived by his wife of 49 years, Tamie Henry; his children Brandon Henry (Chasidy) and their children Benson, Adilynn, and Ellyat; Taylor Henry (Jessica) and their children Jett and Joss; and Torie Henry and her children Lakailah and Mercie. Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Annabelle Henry.

The Henry Family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Hospice of San Angelo Inpatient Hospital care team at Shannon South for their attentive and passionate care of Kyle.

In lieu of floral arrangements, the Henry Family asks that you please donate to the West Texas Rehab – Memorial for Hospice of San Angelo.
