OBITUARY
Kathleen Marie “Kathie” Bendinelli, 75, of San Angelo, passed away on December 18, 2025, in San Angelo.
Kathie was born on August 11, 1950 in Chelsea, Massachusetts, to parents Dan and Barbara Dolan. Kathie married Edward Bendinelli of Walpole, Mass. on August 3, 1972.
Kathie spent the majority of her professional career at Newsfoto, eventually serving as manager before her retirement in 2006. During this time, she was also recognized for her involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, working towards allowing women to serve in all Scouting leadership positions.
After her retirement, and thanks to a scrapbook-making kit her son gifted her after a family trip to Disney World, Kathie fell in love with the world of crafting. She even created her own brand, “Kathie’s Krafts,” and regularly participated as one of the “Craft Ladies,” during weekly meet-ups at Rio Concho West.
Kathie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son Bennie of San Antonio, son Tony of New York, daughter Danielle of Utah and grandson Luca of San Antonio.
Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:00am at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens
