OBITUARY

Eva Ladean Culp (nee Cogsdil), 82 years old of Maverick, TX; passed peacefully on December 15 in Silsbee, TX.

She was born on June 24, 1943 in Hobbs, NM to Elmer and Lois Cogsdil.

She graduated from Hobbs High School and went on to Graduate from Shannon Nursing School in 1963.

She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Angelo State University in 1982. She married William Glenn Culp on June 24, 1963. She and Glenn had 3 girls: Carrie, Kelly and Susan. She was the proud grandma to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years William Glenn Culp, Brothers Calvin, Harold, and Ronald Cogsdil.

She is survived by her sister Betty Taylor and brother James Cogsdil as well as children Carrie and Richard Adams of Silsbee; with their children DJ, Victoria and Ashley, Kelly and Blair McGinnis of Snyder, with their children Ashley and Will, and Susan and Derek Clapp of Temple, with their children Kimberleigh and Garrett.

Her passion was nursing and working alongside her husband on the farm so her children and grandchildren would always have a place to gather. She was a nurse caring for others till her last day. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
