OBITUARY

Buddy Eldred went to be with the lord, Wednesday December 17, 2025, at the age of 94. He was born in Sulphur, Oklahoma, on March 21, 1931, to Emra Freemont and Lucy Emaline Eldred. He later moved to Texas, where he married Gayna Browne, May 27, 1950. Together, they built a life, rooted in love, hard work and family. He was Baptized on June 18, 2017. Buddy was a devoted husband and father, who taught by example. Passing on lessons of honesty, perseverance and love of family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers, 7 sisters and 2 daughters, Gaylene Daniels and Diane Cantrell. He is survived by his loving sister Martha Courtney of Sulphur, OK, son Steve Eldred Sr, of Blackwell, Tx and 6 grandchildren. Sharla and Wes Taylor of Marques, Tx, James and Lauren Cantrell, of Abilene, Tx, Stephanie and Jimmy Holland, of Lubbuck, Tx, Gayna and Jimmy Loveday, of Canyon, Tx, Steve Allen and Brittany Eldred, of Yantis, Tx and Brittany and Jason Elliott, of Blackwell, Tx. As well as, his 15 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. He will be remembered by many relatives and great friends, that he cherished throughout the years.

Buddy is cherished by loved ones and friends and was always willing to help those in need. He was a proud Mason serving as Master of his lodge, and Worthy patron of The Eastern Star with his wife Gayna. He then became a Shriner.

Buddy was well known and loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Celebration of Life will be held at The Blue Cattle Company in Blackwell; everyone who knew him is invited and welcome to attend.
