Edwin (Eddie) Keith Long, 74, of San Angelo Texas, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 28, 1951, in San Angelo, Texas to parents E. Keith and Maurine (Posey) Long.

Eddie attended McGill Elementary and Robert E. Lee Jr. High prior to graduating from San Angelo Central High School in 1970. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Angelo State University in May 1980.

Eddie’s love of sports began at a young age and continued throughout his life. He enjoyed playing basketball, intramural football and golf. He was a fanatic fan of the Dallas Cowboys and would travel to the ends of the earth to attend a game, including once in 1993 to Los Angeles for the Super Bowl.
