OBITUARY

Edmund “Ed” Frank Klepac, 92, passed away peacefully at home in San Angelo, Texas, on October 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 22, 1932, in Hobson, Texas, to Frank Joseph and Ida Ulrich Klepac, Edmund lived a full and impactful life dedicated to faith, family, and service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, receiving an Honorable Discharge for his dedication and commitment. Following his military service, he devoted over 25 years to Angelo State University as the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring the campus community benefited from his diligent work. He also demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit as a Watkins Distributor and Catholic Life Insurance salesman.

A lifelong Catholic and devoted parishioner of the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart, Edmund found solace and strength in his faith throughout his life serving in numerous ministries.

He was a dedicated mentor and coach, generously volunteering with YMCA Little League and instilling valuable life lessons in young players.

He was the BIGGEST cheerleader and most enthusiastic supporter for his five children and grandchildren at countless sporting events attending and celebrating their every endeavor. Ed’s love extended to his wife, his family, and the natural world; he poured his heart into landscaping, nurturing his pecan trees, and finding peace in the rhythm of mowing his lawn and tending his garden.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Virginia Kozelsky Klepac; his children: Douglas Klepac, Carla Klepac Hernandez (Steve), Henry Klepac, Pamela Klepac-Tulensru Wilson (Don), and Kathleen Klepac; his grandchildren: Wesley Klepac (Shannon), Stephen Hernandez, Cody Klepac (Jetton), Kristen Hernandez Montgomery (Connor), Casey Klepac, Victoria Tulensru (Jeremiah Harrell), Hannah Hernandez, Annaleah Tulensru, and Noel Nehemiah Tulensru; 14 cherished great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his siblings, Elizabeth Klepac and Wenzel “Windy” Klepac.

Edmund was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Hayley Klepac, his brother Sylvester “Shorty” Klepac, and his sister Bernice Klepac. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation: Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 PM at Harper Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass: Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart, officiated by Rev. Msgr. Larry J. Droll. Entombment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Our family is deeply grateful to the teams at Shannon Home Health, Gentiva Hospice, Live Well, and Hope Guzman. Their loving care and professional support brought peace of mind to our family and allowed him to be comfortable at home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to “Meals for the Elderly”, “Catholic Outreach Services”, “Arbor Day Foundation or a Living Tribute”.
