OBITUARY

Eddie Wayne Carlisle, or as most affectionately called him. “Brother Ed,” went to be with the Lord on December 15th at home with his family around him. He was 67 years old.

Born on January 10, 1958, to Paul Mathis Jr. and Norma Faye Carlisle, Ed has three sisters; Robin Jeiner, Sandra Motton and Sherry Collins, and three bothers Johnny Carlisle, Dan Carlisle and Ron Brantley., and was blessed with many nieces, nephews and cousins, and more beloved friends than he was able to count.

Ed was married to Robin J. Carlisle for 23 years, and they had two sons; he was very proud of Damion M Cowan and Mustafa Carlisle. He has six grandkids Jade Parker, Tiana Curtis, Tailen Curtis, Aigana Carlisle, Connor Carlisle, and Aydan Carlise and one great-granddaughter, Zamara Chatman.

Ed was a small business owner here in San Angelo for over fifteen years where his business took him all over the state. Although his work was extensive and challenging, he always made time for family and serving in any way he could for his church, New Jerusalem Church of God In Christ, here in San Angelo.

Ed believed in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in working hard, and he was always ready to work hard for God. His faith and belief in Christ Jesus allowed him to always lead in love, grace and mercy.

Brother Ed touched so many lives and hearts. He never really met a stranger and will truly be missed by all. We thank you Lord for allowing us to have been Blessed with his friendship and love.

Ed’s celebration of life will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C in San Angelo.
