The crucial primary elections in Texas are less than 33 days away, with the voter registration deadline looming on Monday, Feb. 2.
Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson urges residents to register, as it’s the opportunity to vote for candidates to represent the Republican or Democratic parties in the November election. Voters must be enrolled at least 30 days prior to any election.
Voters in Tom Green County can submit a registration application to the Elections Office, at 113 W. Beauregard Ave., on the first floor of the Keyes Building.
Applications may be submitted in person, by mail, or through a deputy voter registrar.
Online registration is not available, but you can change your name or address within the same county at the Texas Office of the Secretary of State.
You can check registration status on the My Voter Portal, which can be accessed through the “Am I registered?” feature at VoteTexas.gov. Registration forms are available at VoteTexas.gov.
For more information, call the Tom Green County Elections Office at 325-659-6541.
