COMMISSIONERS COURT
Years of work attempting to gain funds to build a bridge over a low-water crossing on the South Concho River have finally paid off as a $1 million grant was approved this week.
Tom Green County Commissioners obtained a federal grant for a bridge at Mineral Wells Crossing, about 1-mile north of Christoval on U.S. Highway 277.
Officials highlighted the project will significantly enhance safety and accessibility, ensuring residents can cross the river during heavy rains and floods.

Pct. 4 Comm. Shawn Nanny announced that after years of effort, funding was secured thanks in large part to Rep. August Pfluger.
The Texas Department of Transportation will handle the planning and construction of the bridge.
