OBITUARY

It is with deep sorrow that we share that Steve Brown passed away on November 20th, 2025, at the age of 69, in San Angelo, Texas at home, surrounded by those who loved him most.

Steve lived a wonderful life—one full of love, joy, mischief, excitement, and stories that will be told for years to come. He was a devoted husband to his wife Stacy Brown for 43 years, and he loved her fiercely. Even in his final days, he still found the strength to try and grab her butt, proving that love and humor were two things he never lost.

He was a proud father who helped raise a remarkable son, Evan Brown, who went on to marry Lily Brown. Steve absolutely adored his grandchildren: Christopher, Austin, Bailie, Shaun, and Rose—with the girls proudly holding the title of “favorites.”

Steve lived most of his life in Georgia, but he truly loved Texas. We were blessed to be able to bring him down to see the Riverwalk in San Antonio one last time. That man smiled so much that weekend—he enjoyed every minute of it, and it gave us memories we will treasure forever.

Steve honorably served our country in the United States Air Force as an electrician and continued that work after his military service. He carried his dedication, skill, and quiet strength into everything he did.

He is preceded in death by his son Clyde Evan Kelly; his parents Clyde Norman Brown and Mary Jeanette Kellett; his brother Charlie; and his sister Linda.

Steve will be deeply missed. His life touched many, and it was truly an honor and a pleasure to know him.
