OBITUARY
Cathy Marie (Wilde) Allison, born on April 14, 1954, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 71. A lifetime resident of San Angelo, Cathy was known for her dedication and warmth.
Cathy was born and raised in San Angelo and was a graduate of Angelo State University. She was one of nine children, which instilled in her a deep sense of family and community from a young age.
Cathy dedicated 12 years of her career to nurturing young minds as a Pre-K teacher at Angelo Catholic School. Her passion for teaching and her caring nature left a lasting impact on her “Pre-K Angels.”
Cathy married the love of her life, Glenn Ray Allison, on January 15, 1977. Their union was blessed with three daughters: Heidi Burnett (Jimmie), Heather Allison, and Hannah Waters (James) and bonus daughter, Kim Adams. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother.
Cathy is survived by her daughters and her beloved grandchildren: Skylar Smith, Lane Howell, Taylor Howell, Karlyee Howell, Nala Burnett, Emma Hill, and numerous bonus grandchildren.
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ray Allison, her mother, Alice Catherine (Strube) Wilde, her father, Rinhold Benard Wilde, her sister, Merlene Kouba, and her brother, Floyd Wilde.
Cathy’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and devotion to family and education will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A Rosary will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Angels Church Catholic Church on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 10 a.m. with Monsignor Droll officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Cathy’s name to Angelo Catholic School.
