OBITUARY
Bonnie Lou Justice, a beloved and adventurous spirit, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on December 18, 1934, in California, Bonnie was known for her resilience, humor, and wisdom. Her spunky nature, and red hair made her unforgettable to all who knew her.
Bonnie’s early life was marked by her involvement as a Girl Scout, and her pursuit of nursing education. She began nursing school after high school and, despite multiple deployments and the responsibilities of starting a family, she persevered and completed her nursing degree in her 40s during the 1970s. Her dedication to education continued as she went on to earn her master’s degree. Bonnie’s career as a nurse at Shannon Hospital was followed by her role as an Assistant Professor at ASU, where she was a devoted and well-loved instructor.
On her 20th birthday, she married Albert Thomas Justice Jr., and together they built a loving family. As an army wife for over 20 years, Bonnie embraced the lifestyle and loved traveling across the US and Europe. Bonnie was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Cathleen Marie (Scott) and Cynthia Ann (Ron), and a cherished grandmother to her five grandchildren, Brian, Tara, Bonnie, Robin, and Matthew, as well as six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Bonnie’s personal interests included reading, traveling, entertaining, and her passion for nursing. She was an avid Elvis fan, and found her greatest joy in teaching nursing. Her commitment to community was evident in her volunteer work as a dental assistant at a military hospital in Germany, and her active membership in the Sierra Vista Methodist Church in San Angelo, where she loved participating in church activities.
Bonnie’s legacy is that of a great wife, mother, and nurse, who was generous, hard-working, and devoted. Her family expresses deep gratitude to the Hospice of San Angelo for their exceptional care and support.
In her own words, Bonnie often said, “It is what it is.” Her favorite hymns: “Take My Hand Precious Lord” and “When We All Get to Heaven,” reflect the faith and spirit with which she lived her life. Bonnie Lou Justice will be remembered for her humor, generosity, and the impact she had on countless lives.
