The full San Angelo Independent School District Board of Trustees is expected to vote tonight on whether to adopt the Bluebonnet Learning curriculum for Kindergarten through the Fifth Grade.
The vote is set to take place during the Board’s pre-agenda workshop at 5:45 p.m. in the Board Room at the SAISD Administration Building at 1621 University Ave. San Angelo, Texas.
Persons wishing to speak during the public comments section of the meeting are advised to arrive early. You will need to sign up before the meeting in order to make public comments.
The vote was scheduled to take place at the last regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, but it was postponed due to the absence of Trustee Bill Dendle.
While the infusion of the curriculum with an evangelical view of the Bible has gained the most media attention, the poor educational quality of Bluebonnet Learning has drawn the most comments at previous Board Meetings on the subject.
