OBITUARY
November 11, 1946 — December 16, 2025
Barbara Ann Kessler of San Angelo, died on December 16, 2025, at the age of 74.
Barbara “Ann” Kessler was born in Ft. Worth on November 11, 1946. She grew up in Rankin, where her father Robert Allen Moore served as both county judge and mayor. Her mother, Virginia “Ellen” Moore, spent her time at home raising the kids and reading books.
Ann enjoyed her days growing up with her brothers, Butch and Skeet. She spent her time raising sheep.
Once she graduated, she went off to Sul Ross University in Alpine, and completed her education at a trade school, becoming a secretary. Shortly after she married and became a mom of two daughters Tracey Lynn & Mindy Ellen.
They moved back to Rankin, where she began her career as a title clerk. She spent over 40 years as a clerk, with her last 18 at Randall Motors in San Angelo. She has enjoyed living in San Angelo where her daughter joined her to live as well.
Ann loved Jesus, and her children and grandchildren fiercely. She was a firecracker to say the least. She enjoyed hanging out with her family, and watching all the babies grow. In her last few years, she became a Sunday watcher of Jimmy Swaggart (SBN), the game show network, and football on Saturday.
Ann was loved by her children and everyone she met, including her lifelong friendship with Carolyn Jean Patterson for over 50 years. Ann passed from her earthly journey at 79 years of age on December 16, 2025, with her daughter at her side.
Ann is survived by her two daughters Tracey Lynn Dirden and husband Shaun Dirden; Mindy Ellen Bratcher and husband Scott Bratcher. Her brother, Skeet. Her grandchildren Amber Lynn Galindo, Seth Allen Adcock, Stacie Bratcher & Mackenzie Bratcher. Great grandchildren Aubreigh Gallegos, Brynleigh Gallegos, Teagan Hernandez, Ezekiel Galindo, Alayla Galindo, Case Galindo & Jaquline Adcock. Her great-great granddaughter Parker Mae Dobson. And nephews, Kenny Moore & Aaron Moore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Butch, her granddaughters Kaley Virginia Bowerman & Brianna Lucas. And her great grandson Judah Shaun.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday, December 18, at Harper Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 P.M., Friday, December 19, 2025, at Harper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
