Thanks to the generosity of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Rockets will kick off the school year with fun activities and valuable resources from local organizations, including Rust Street Ministries and Buckner International.

Tonight, volunteers from Baptist Retirement Community and Buckner International will provide approximately 357 children with new shoes, which have been collected by South Main Baptist Church in Houston throughout the month of July and delivered by Texans on Mission, will be distributed alongside other essential supplies by local community groups.

Calvary Baptist Church will donate shoes to students at Bradford Elementary and Goliad Elementary School. These distributions will take place from 5-6 p.m. at each respective campus on Tuesday.

This wonderful community support helps ensure even more students have what they need to start the school year confidently.
