Sarah Collins will bring her enthusiasm and expertise as the featured speaker of this year’s E. James Holland Symposium on American Values at 6 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Angelo State University.
According to a news release from ASU, Collins is a speaker, facilitator and Clifton Strengths coach, and her talk will highlight how energy is a key tool for success.
Titled “The Good Energy Club: Using Play, Connection and Flow to Transform Engagement,” Collins’ presentation includes engaging stories, research-backed insights and hands-on activities to illustrate how energy can boost engagement, foster collaboration and create a culture where positivity thrives.
Also the founder of Collins Collective, Collins specializes in helping individuals and teams maximize their potential through strengths-based leadership and positive workforce culture.
She partners with businesses, universities and organizations to create environments where people feel seen, valued and energized to do their best work.
The Holland Symposium is named in honor of its creator, Dr. E. James Holland, retired dean of the former ASU College of Liberal and Fine Arts.
It is designed to bring the ASU community and the public together to reflect on issues related to the country’s values.
Since its inception in 1984, the symposium has brought more than 50 nationally prominent figures to the campus to spark discussion on a wide variety of topics.
The symposium takes place in the Eldon Black Hall, inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Dr.
The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
