OBITUARY

Anna Belle Gordon, a beloved and compassionate soul, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 87.

She was born on April 13, 1938, in Rushville, MO, to Howard and Ellen DeWeese. Her life was marked by faithfulness and selflessness, qualities that endeared her to everyone who knew her.

Anna Belle was first married to Kenneth P. Baker on February 3, 1956, until his passing on March 3, 1995. She later found love again and married Cecil Ray Gordon on June 12, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Cecil; her children, Stephen Baker and wife Cheryl, David Baker and wife Debra, Phillip Baker and wife Jennifer, and Sarah Baker, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Serving others was her passion, and she found joy in taking long walks. Anna Belle served alongside her first husband, Kenneth, in his ministry, becoming a matriarch of the churches he pastored. She was a loving mother and wife, known for her selflessness, giving nature, and comforting presence.

The family extends their gratitude to all the wonderful staff at Sagecrest Memory Care in San Angelo. They are the best, most compassionate, caring, and thoughtful people the family has ever met.

In the spirit of her faith, we remember Anna Belle with the words from 2nd Corinthians 5:8: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
